Excited for picking a pumpkin Our fake out in front of some mums...
Me and the Lil pumpkin
Family Shot
We decided to try a family outing. Try is the key word! Whit is a pretty content baby so we thought it would be safe to venture out to the local pumpkin patch. I had fantasies of cider, hayrides, fields of pristine pumpkins, and swarms of yuppies dressed in their J.Crew finery. I had idealized the perfect fall moment. Boy was I WRONG! Every white trash Leonard Skinard fan decided to descend upon the field. Mass hysteria would have erupted if I yelled "Freebird"! We attempted to wait in the hayride line but, suddenly realized that Whit was already losing IQ points. Therefore, we did a drive by of the pumpkin patch. Whit faked harvest pictures near a hay maze and we bought our pumpkin from the farmers stand! I don't think we missed much. Below our some shots from the Kilcoyne version of the pumpkin patch.
Since baby Whit made his debut I've been looking for ways to stay in touch with family and friends. I broke down and decided to start a blog. Hope you enjoy our daily antics!
Two yankees raising their southern son! My husband and I have been married for 3.5 years. We just welcomed our first child, Whit Patrick. Both of us are from the north and have been in the south for almost 10 years.
